The kids’ baptisms were last night! They were so excited, but I’m pretty sure it was because they were finally allowed to touch the water in the baptismal font!
Jacob got help with his first tie!
I can’t believe how grown up he looks!
They were given these beautiful banners commemorating their baptisms, a book, and their baptismal candles (of which Jacob was SUPER excited – I mean, c’mon – it’s fire!!!)
And our dear friends gave them each a Bible.
I love the rich traditions that commemorate these events. Even though they don’t full understand what transpires through baptism just yet, I’m very thankful and grateful that they will remember it.
